Skulptūrinis akcentas „Bičiulystė“ įprasmina „Alumnu“: tai tarsi bičių bendruomenė, pagrįsta pagarba, atsakingumu, darbštumu, kurioj kiekvienas narys kaip iš avilio išskrendanti, dirbanti ir sugrįžtanti bitė.

Skirtingose kultūrose bitės yra vilties simbolis, saulės ir energijos ženklas. Baltų šalyse protėviai buvo sužavėti šių mažų būtybių: bitės dar ir dabar asocijuojamos su socialine organizacija, švara, darbštumu, intelektualumu, gyvenimo ir netgi poezijos saldumu. Ne veltui lietuvių kalboje žodis „bičiulis“ yra kilęs iš daiktavardžio „bitė“. Bičiulystė laikoma „šventa“, ji remiasi pasitikėjimu, pagarba, nuoširdumu.

Sculpture “Friendship” (in old lithuanian tradition term “bičiulystė” also refers to “common bee keeping”) defines “Alumnu” Association: it is like a community of bees that is founded on principles of respect, responsibility and hard work with each member – a bee – leaving the hive just to return back with the results of hard work.

In different cultures the bee is a symbol of hope, sun and energy. Our baltic ancestors were captivated by these small creatures: to our day bees are associated with social organisation, cleanness, hard-work, high intellect, sweetness in life and even poetry. It’s not accidental that in lithuanian language a word “bičiulis” (“friend”) is derived from the noun “bitė” (“bee”). Friendship is being thought of as “sacred” – based on trust, respect and sincerity.
